Veterans of Dutchess County NY: Veterans Discount Program (FAVOR)

Dutchess County Veterans: Don’t Leave Benefits and Family Protection on the Table!

Veterans in Dutchess County have earned more than our thanks and they may have access to valuable local benefits.

The Return the FAVOR (Find and Assist a Veteran of Record) program provides eligible, honorably discharged Dutchess County veterans with an identification card that can unlock discounts from participating local businesses. Reservists and National Guard members may also qualify under New York’s definition of veteran.

Getting started is straightforward. Veterans generally need military separation documents such as a DD-214, complete the application, and obtain their FAVOR card through the County Clerk's process.

But there’s another kind of protection worth considering.

If you have a spouse, children, a mortgage, or anyone who depends on your income, term life insurance can provide financial protection for a defined period. It can be one practical piece of a larger family-protection plan.

The takeaway: Claim the benefits you've earned today and consider the protection your family may need tomorrow.

Learn more about Dutchess County's FAVOR program through the official County Clerk's page.

Important marketing note: FAVOR is a veterans discount program. It should not be presented as providing, endorsing, or being affiliated with life insurance. The insurance message is a separate financial-planning consideration.
